explore The wonders of Space When You Visit Nasa Ames

Situated at Moffett Field in the heart of Silicon Valley, NASA's Ames Research Center is one of ten NASA research locations around the country. Playing a key role in NASA missions and programs, Ames Research Center's projects include small satellites, robotic lunar exploration, advanced thermal protection, and airborne astronomy. Immerse yourself in the wonders of space engineering and travel at the visitor center, where you can learn how astronauts live and work in space. Interactive exhibits invite you to touch a real moon rock, see a Martian asteroid and view the historic Mercury Redstone 1A test capsule. Check out the theater for movies showing Mars and other planetary explorations and learn more about the important discoveries and contributions of NASA scientists. Be sure to stop by the Moffett Field Museum for historic aircraft displays and exhibits about the Bay Area's role in national defense and the development of aviation.
